AKITA Drilling Ltd. is a premier oil and gas drilling and well servicing contractor with operations throughout Western Canada, Canada’s Northern Territories and Alaska. The Company strives to be the industry leader in matters of customer relations, employee expertise, safety, equipment quality, and safe and efficient drilling performance. In addition to conventional drilling and well services, the Company specializes in purpose-built arctic and heavy oil drilling providing specialized drilling services to a broad range of independent and multinational oil and gas companies. AKITA employs approximately 825 people operating 37 drilling rigs in all depth ranges. In addition, the Company operates three well service rigs in Western Canada, is providing the drilling labour for a Mobile Offshore Drilling Unit in the Beaufort Sea and is building a purpose-built arctic rig to operate in Alaska.
